Inspiring Girls in Sport Conference

Hannah Miley will be joining the star studded line up for this Saturday’s #Weplay Inspiring Girls in Sport Conference. The triple Olympic swimmer will take to the stage to discuss her journey through swimming and how she has made the most out of her sport. Hannah has claimed many titles including European, Commonwealth Games and World and has finished 6th, 5th and 4th in the 400m Individual Medley at the 2008, 2012 & 2016 Olympic Games respectively. Hannah will discuss what motivates her to chase that podium finish at the toughest event in her sport.

The conference, takes place at the National Indoor Arena on the National Sports Campus, this Saturday from 09:30.It is hosted by Swim Ireland and funded through Sport Ireland’s Women in Sport Programme, the one-day conference is open to all ages and abilities involved in sport. The day is open to athletes, coaches, parents and supporters from all sports and will see some of Ireland’s top female athletes and specialists come together, on what promises to be a great day with the theme ‘Strong is the New Pretty’ playing a key focus across all of the panels and talks.Topics will explore body image, lifestyle, health and well-being as an athlete.

Key note speaker Lisa Clancy will deliver on ‘Creating Your Own Brand’ while athletes including Ellen Keane (Para Swimming), Phil Healy (Athletics), Aoife Murray (Camogie), Grainne Murphy (Swimming), Natalya Coyle (Pentathlon) and others will sit on panels discussing body image and balancing life as an athlete. RTE’s Evanne Ni Chuillinn will MC for the day.
