Bluefin Swimming Club are holding try-outs on for new swimmers wishing to start January 2019.

Taking place in Kilcornan Pool on Wednesday 12th December 2018, try-outs start from 5:30pm and take just 20 mins.

Swimmers must book in advance, for a 5:30pm; 6pm or 6:30pm start, through our Club Secretary at bluefin.secretary@gmail.com

To ensure the smooth running of the swim, please have your swimmer on deck, ready to start at their allotted time.

Before committing to a try-out with Bluefin SC, swimmers must be aged 9 or above and have the following requirements:

• Have ASA Level 8 certificate, or equivalent.

• Swimmers must be able to swim 100m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke and 100m Backstroke, non-stop, all technically correct.

• Swimmers must be happy to attempt a dive and try one length of Butterfly.

• If currently attending swimming lessons, parents should discuss their child’s readiness to graduate to competitive swimming with their swim school/teacher.
