Big Bluefin Breakout 2018

Back by popular demand… only bigger and better!

Big Bluefin Breakout 2018
at the Killary Adventure Centre!

Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th April 2018

The Bluefin Swim Team can look forward to a fun-packed weekend, with four exciting adventurous activities! Everything is included… lunch on arrival, dinner, evening entertainment, the sleepover and breakfast!

Turf Challenge: As featured on Ireland’s Fittest Family, this is an obstacle course like no other. Natural and man-made challenges bring you through the deep Connemara bog, into the Atlantic Ocean and will see you do things you never imagined. Helping each other is essential, in between laughing at each other of course!

Archery Combat: Think Hunger Games, Game of Thrones – Where Dodgeball meets paintball and the hybrid is Archery Tag!

Gorge Walking: An adventure activity full of natural challenges which involves you making your way through a dramatic gorge cut into the mountainside. Climbing up the river, through sparkling plunge pools and rushing waterfalls you have the option to finish by launching yourself into the Atlantic Ocean from our cliff jump.

Killary High Ropes Course: One of our most popular land-based adventure activities. The High Ropes Course has the best climbing and balancing challenges, all happening at tree-top level. A head for heights is needed as well as a daring spirit!

November Squad Training Day

Another tough training day for Bluefin Senior Squad at UL last Sunday 26th November.

The squad worked hard in the water from 10 in the morning, took in a super dryland hour with Stephen Phelan and then hit the water for a big pull set in the afternoon. We finished with a fast-growing Bluefin favourite… Rock, Paper, Scissors Relay… and we couldn’t get them out!

Big thanks to Maeve for organising, Jean for PIA (all day!) and to the squad for really putting in some effort!
