Hello,

Please find attached updated POD schedule for April 2023. Check it carefully as there are some changes in training times for this month’s schedule.

 

A short reminder from What is the Person-On-Duty (POD) 

  • Person-On-Duty cannot leave the premise until every swimmer from their allocated session has been collected. 

Remember that no session can go ahead without a parent in attendance. If you’re unable to attend your duty, it is your responsibility to organize a replacement. Do not assume that another parent will attend. If you cannot attend your duty, please email Bluefin.PIA@gmail.com  ASAP so a replacement can be organised.

Amazing performance from John Shortt at the Edinburgh International Meet

There was a tremendous swim from John Shortt in the 200m Backstroke A Final to close out the competition. The 16-year-old, swimming next to Olympic bronze medallist Luke Greenbank, was not far off a top three place, touching the wall in 2:00.97 to take fourth place and round off a strong weekend in the pool.

The Athlone & Claremorris, Invitational Club Meet takes place at the Claremorris Leisure centre, Claremorris on Sunday April 16th and at the Athlone Regional Sports Centre, Athlone on Sunday April 23rd .
